Fortune SuPoshan: Nurturing a Healthier India

Fortune SuPoshan is a flagship initiative launched in 2016 by AWL Agri Business Limited and implemented by the Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the Adani Group. The programme is designed to address two critical public health challenges in India, malnutrition and anaemia, especially among children, adolescent girls, and women of reproductive age.
Despite being one of the largest food producers globally, India faces a paradox of widespread nutritional deficiencies. Deep-rooted myths, lack of awareness, poverty, and inadequate hygiene contribute to this national concern. Fortune SuPoshan takes a community-based, integrated approach to mitigate these challenges by promoting nutrition education, behaviour change, and grassroots mobilisation. The initiative actively works in regions with poor health and nutrition indicators, where it empowers local women volunteers, called SuPoshan Sanginis, to act as agents of change. These trained women bridge the gap between government services and the community, enabling long-term transformation in health outcomes at the village level.
